Recovery from stroke using Manual Therapy can be effective, but requires consistent work over a period of many months. Here is a short video of examples of a few of the types of manipulations used. These manipulations can be thought of as a dialog between the therapist and the deepest layers of the Central Nervous System, and concurrently the Autonomic Nervous System.

Because this work is labor intensive, it is only practically accomplished when care givers are trained to add this work alongside their other responsibilities. In this video, I am both providing therapy and training. Working with Cerebral Palsy is essentially the same.
