is a Licensed Manual Therapist (LMT) and has been in private practice in San Francisco since 1983 blending Structural Integration Bodywork, Reflex Integration, NLP, Craniosacral Therapy, Specialized Kinesiology, biofeedback, and neurofeedback. His grasp of sensory-motor dynamics is grounded in both his electrical engineering background and approximately 3300 hrs. training across the spectrum of Manual Therapy modalities. He is passionate about the art and science of Bodywork and Healing Touch.
Brian has been been a Touch for Health Instructor since 2006 offering classes in Touch for Health in San Francisco and other cities in the US, served three years on the board of the Touch For Health Kinesiology Association and is additionally a Touch For Health Consultant. Brian is also the archivist for the Touch for Health Kinesiology Association conference journals, indexing 45 years of papers on Energy Kinesiology here: www.touchforhealtharchive.com. Additionally, he has written several articles and conference presentations for the Touch for Health Kinesiology Association.
Brian is a Clinical Core Specialist in Neuro-Motor Reflex Integration working under Dr. Svetlana Masgutova in the US Masgutova NeuroMotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) camps, and in private practice with children with special needs. He uses his training in reflex integration daily in his general practice.
A long-standing interest in biofeedback led Brian in 2016 to attain advanced certification in Low Energy Neurofeedback (LENS) as an adjunct to his Manual Therapy practice. Combining LENS with Manual Therapy has been extremely effective at quickly producing results for clients, encompassing physical, emotional and cognitive issues.
Since 2006 Brian has been a licensed provider for Trace Elements laboratory services. By submitting a hair tissue sample he can offer dietary and supplement recommendations based on the findings that better balance metabolism, and other aspects of body chemistry.
Brian is on the roster of Complimentary Care Providers for the San Francisco Waldorf School, helping children embody their developmental potentials. He currently works with musicians associated with the San Francisco Symphony and Opera companies, and professional dancers and athletes in both SF and New York. He teaches Touch for Health both locally and nationally.
Since 2017 Brian has been building out a web based diagnostic/assessment tool for improving therapeutic outcomes, focused primarily on Manual Therapy modalities, but applicable across the range of therapeutic options. The tool embeds a description of the influence our evolutionary trajectory bears on our structures and functions, potential enhancing the frames of refence used in therapeutic interventions:
