Due to the close contact character of my work, I have been expecting for the last few weeks that I would have to close up shop at some point to protect my family, my clients and myself. The WHO declaration of pandemic status for Covid-19 yesterday (3/11/20) feels like the tripwire to initiate this action. In part, this decision is based on this report:
As the work I do with my clients is my passion, this is a difficult decision to make, and I will return to practice as soon as it seems the responsible choice (or after I have attained immunity). I will attempt to prioritize our sessions but offer the suggestion to schedule ahead into May/June as I suspect that it will be that far out when I return.
Apologies for any disruption this may cause.
If you want to get in to see me right away, and there are no appointments available, please contact me and I will try to find an opening.
Cat allergies: Although I have two cats at my Merced Hts. home, they are never allowed into the lower level where the offices are. However, if you are extremely sensitive to cat dander, I suggest that you schedule with me at the St. James office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
